In keeping with the theme “Live Performance is in Unusual Spaces” and continuing the “New Artist Series”, the Live Music Movement Foundation will present Vocalist Daria Savannah at Notsuoh Bar. The musical performance will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2020, 5:00pm to 8:00pm at 314 Main St., Houston 77002. Singer and songwriter Daria Savannah is a rising star in the neo-soul and R&B music world. She performed her debut EP titled, “Me & You”, in 2019 to a sold-out show. Her soulful, contemporary singles such as “Dirty Lover” “Roll Wit It”, and “Hesitation” have generated a great deal of excitement. Daria, born and raised in Houston Texas, started singing in church at the age of 7 years old. After this, she moved on to school talent shows and local events in the Houston area. At 16 years old, she began taking voice lessons and auditioning in national talent competitions such as American Idol, The Voice, The X-Factor, America’s Got Talent and many more. Daria received her musical training from Tom McKinney who coached Beyoncé, Solange, Mario, and Demi Lovato. Her musical influences are Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston. Daria has performed at several high profile events such as the Oscar De La Hoya Golden Glove Boxing Tournament for 30,000 people at the NRG stadium, the Men’s basketball game at the University of Houston for 400 people, and the Super Bowl Gospel Choir at the NRG Arena for approximately 500 people. In addition to singing, Daria is an actress and a member of the historic Ensemble Theatre family here in Houston. Daria will be featured in the television special Celebration of Music hosted by well-known American pianist, singer and composer Ethan Bortnick. The special will air on PBS in 2020. Daria is a graduate of the University of Houston with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Communication and Psychology. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
