The event featured a wine bar with six exquisite wines that were accompanied by cheese and fruit platters and a delicious selection of smoked meats, which included chicken and beef bites and appetizer sized smoked ribs. This paired nicely with the crowd favorite Chardonnay. Guests also enjoyed macaroni and cheese, dirty rice, and green beans. The meal was finished with a decadent peach cobbler that was paired perfectly with a Pinot Noir. After the wine and food tastings, Pianist Barry Sams provided the guests with enchanting musical selections from rhythm and blues to jazz.
The wine tasting and food pairing event allowed LMMF to work with and support small businesses that helped make the event a success. Wine Steward Amy Antoine-Harrison provided selections from One Hope Wine. The winery is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations. Each bottle of wine purchased returned a donation to Live Music Movement Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Hoot’s Smokehouse Catering provided the assortment of smoked meats, side dishes, and dessert and has been a constant supporter of LMMF. If you weren’t able to attend this event and experience the great wine, food, and music, there is still time to purchase the variety of wines that were featured at the wine tasting. You’ll not only enjoy great wine but you will support LMMF and its mission, along with supporting another small business. Please click here to place your order.
